She would never write a letter to get an answer. It was enough for her to spin the tender sighs that hung from her heart. She amused herself by intertwining them one after the other in embroidery in which the perfectly entangled words always had the right vivacity that was needed to rekindle the flame of a dimmed hope. Without further ado, who would not like to approach with eagerness the attentive and servile gaze of a lighthouse? And let it exempt us from the darkness while indicating the crossing back home? With regard to her weaving letters with no answer, there were so many questions floating offshore…

Mai escriuria una carta perquè la hi responguessin. Ella en tenia prou amb el fet d’enfilar els sospirs tendres que penjaven del cor. S’entretenia a entrellaçar-los una vegada i una altra en un brodat en què els mots perfectament enredats acabaven tenint sempre la vivesa justa que calia per a fer ressorgir la flama d’una esperança descolorida. Sense filar més prim, a qui no li agradaria apropar-se amb impavidesa a la mirada atenta i servil d’un far? I deixar que ens eximís de la foscor al mateix temps que ens assenyalés el camí de tornada a casa? Respecte de les cartes que teixia, que mai serien respostes, hi havia tantes preguntes que suraven a alta mar…
